Join us on Sunday, May 26 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on the Petersham Common for the 2nd Nipmuc Cultural Celebration!
Nipmuk Cultural Preservation, Inc., in partnership with No Loose Braids and Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust, proudly presents the Second Nipmuc Cultural Celebration on Sunday, May 26th, 2024 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on the Common in Petersham, MA. Join us for a day of celebrating Nipmuc culture in their homeland of Nichewaug. There will be performances and photo galleries by Nipmuc artisans: a flute performance by Strong Eagle Daly, Photography by Scott Strong Hawk Foster, and Storytelling by Larry Spotted Crow Mann. There will be vending opportunities to support Nipmuc Artisans and information about Nipmuc-led initiatives. Andre StrongBearHeart Gaines will lead us in a social dance. All are welcome. Admission is free. This event is made possible by funding from the Mass Cultural Council’s Festival grant.
