Property History

The original 195 acres that make up the core of this property were slated to become a motor speedway but were protected in 1993 when the City of Gardner acquired the property through Chapter 61 and assigned it to Mount Grace. The land was then transferred to Mass Audubon to become part of their Lake Wampanoag Wildlife Sanctuary.
