Mount Grace has been an AmeriCorps participant since 2010 through our Massachusetts Land Initiative for Tomorrow.
September 12, 2014 marks the 20th anniversary of the first swearing-in ceremony of AmeriCorps members on the Boston Common in 1994. Today, over 2,000 AmeriCorps members serve throughout the Commonwealth. As the “birthplace of national service” Massachusetts has much to celebrate and recognize in the last 20 years.
This year’s MassLIFT-AmeriCorps program will be Mount Grace’s fifth year of statewide service. Twenty one members, represented by the stars on the map below, will serve at sixteen host sites across the Commonwealth.

AmeriCorps engages more than 80,000 men and women in intensive service each year through more than 15,000 nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country. MassLIFT AmeriCorps is a grant program contingent on renewal of federal funding. Our program is funded in part by a grant from the Corporation of National and Community Service (CNCS). CNCS grants to AmeriCorps programs in Massachusetts are administered by the Massachusetts Service Alliance.
