A Season of Possibility: Support Mount Grace’s Spring Appeal

Across our region, life has returned—and so has the opportunity to protect the places that sustain it.

With many large, unprotected landscapes still intact and relatively affordable, the opportunity to conserve land in the Mount Grace region is extraordinary. Conservation dollars go further here than almost anywhere else in Massachusetts. But this window of opportunity won’t stay open forever.

Development continues to constrict vital habitat corridors. Invasive species crowd out native plants. Climate change is forcing wildlife to adapt—pushing many species to search for new places to hunt, migrate, and shelter.

Together, we can meet this moment with action.

Right now, Mount Grace has more than 40 active conservation projects underway—each one a chance to protect places that will be cherished for generations. Through our 2026 Spring Appeal, your support helps bring these projects to life.

Thanks to a generous matching gift, every donation made by May 31 will be doubled—supporting the protection of wetlands, local farms, clean drinking water, and working forests across our region.

Double Your Impact

Our community has already raised $204,000, bringing us within reach of our $250,000 goal. Here’s a look at just a few of the projects your support makes possible:

New England Trail Corridor

In Northfield, Mount Grace is connecting forests, farms, and waterways into a growing network of protected land that supports wildlife movement, safeguards clean water, and strengthens

climate resilience. From Hobo Falls to Millers Brook and beyond, each conserved parcel adds to a larger, living landscape.

Protecting a Local Farm in Ashburnham

In Ashburnham, we’re working to protect a family farm that sustains local agriculture, conserves open space, and keeps working land in the community.

Fostering the Next Generation of Conservationists

Protecting Camp Selah secures 18 acres on Tully Pond as both conserved land and essential community infrastructure— ensuring families have access to affordable summer childcare while connecting young people to the outdoors and inspiring future conservationists.

These efforts — and many more — are only possible thanks to people like you.

Inspired by the reach and impact of Mount Grace’s work, a generous group of Board members and supporters will match every gift made by May 31, 2026—dollar for dollar, up to $125,000. Your support for our Spring Appeal will help protect the wild lands, local farms, drinking water supplies, and working forests that all contribute so much to our region.
