Take Aim: New Public Archery Range Opens at Skyfields Arboretum
Looking for a new way to spend time outdoors, sharpen your skills, or prepare for hunting season? Mount Grace is excited to announce that a new public archery range is now open—and it’s free to use! Located at our headquarters at Skyfields Arboretum in Athol, the range offers easy access for community members to practice archery and build confidence in a beautiful outdoor setting.
For archery hunters, regular practice is an important part of preparing for the upcoming hunting season. Developing accuracy and consistency takes time, and a dedicated range provides an opportunity to work on form, sighting, shot placement, and confidence before heading into the field. Whether you are an experienced hunter looking to stay sharp or someone preparing for their first season, the range offers a convenient place to put in the practice.
But you don’t have to be a hunter to enjoy archery. Archery is a rewarding outdoor sport for people of many ages and skill levels. It combines physical coordination with mental concentration, encouraging participants to slow down, focus on the task at hand, and develop patience. There’s something wonderfully satisfying about nocking an arrow, drawing the bow, taking a breath, and watching it fly toward the target. Bullseye or not, every shot is an opportunity to learn.
