What: Solstice Hike & Picnic at the World-Famous Triple Oak Tree

When: Saturday, June 21st 10:30 a.m. -1 p.m.
Description: You may have seenthe Triple Oak Tree when she was featured in the show “The Americas” this winter. Come celebrate her full solstice glory on the longest day of the year with Mount Grace and Susie and Ben Feldman at this family-friendly solstice hike & picnic! Choose to join us for one of two guided hikes or explore the Cutthroat Brook trails on your own.
Susie Feldman will lead an adventuresome two-mile Stone Wall Hike and Mount Grace will lead a more leisurely two-mile Mount Grace Learning Loop Trail hike. The summertime “The Toll Bridge Troll” Storybook Trail is up and ready for folks to enjoy on their own. This fun story guides you over many a bridge in search of trolls!
However you go, we’ll meet back at noon to celebrate the summer solstice under the spreading Triple Oak Tree. Bring sandwiches and a picnic blanket. Mount Grace will provide lemonade, tea, and cookies.
For anyone interested in making a day of it, consider an afternoon stop at the Harvard Forest’s Fisher Museum, just a few miles up the road. Fisher Museum - Harvard Forest
