Description: Join Mount Grace for a hands-on nest box building workshop focused on wood ducks and American kestrels! This public workshop is open to Mount Grace deedholders and community members who are interested in supporting local wildlife through habitat enhancement.
Participants will help assemble nest boxes using provided materials (while supplies last) and will have the opportunity to take a completed box home if they have suitable habitat to install it. The workshop will also include an educational component covering proper placement, ongoing maintenance, and why nest boxes are an important conservation tool for these birds.
This workshop will be held indoors and restrooms will be available.
Location: Millers River Environmental Center | Athol, MA
What to Bring: Please dress comfortably for indoor work. All building materials and tools will be provided (while supplies last). Any extra drills and bit sets would be appreciated.
