Location: Athol Public Library, 568 Main Street, Athol
Date: Monday, October 6th 6-7 p.m.
Description: In this presentation, Dave Small, the Conservation Director at Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust and President of the Athol Bird & Nature Club, and Caitie Dwyer-Huppert, the Mount Grace Community Outreach Associate, will take you on a journey to their favorite trails on local conservation lands. They’ll share why they love these places, including a bit about the history, ecology, and the species who live there, and provide trail maps and advice about the best times of year to visit. This presentation is an invitation to check out these special places on your own or to meet us there…
On behalf of Mount Grace, Dave and Caitie invite you to free, family-friendly walks for all ages at two of these conservation areas later this fall. Join us for the Eagle Reserve Exploration at the Eagle Reserve Conservation Area in Royalston on Sunday, October 12th 10 a.m.-12 p.m. And on Sunday, November 9th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., join us for a Woodsy Walkabout at the Famous Triple Oak Tree at Cutthroat Brook Tree Farm in Athol.
